- No shaving cream ? No worries, just use some hair conditioner.
- Breakout on the face and no expensive product to fix the problem? Apply baby bum rash cream (high in zinc) to your breakout and you will be good in no time.
- Hair is feeling dry but you don’t want to invest in a hair mask ?DIY – Coconut oil overnight or mix some Mayonnaise olive oil and a little hair conditioner and leave on for 15-20 mins .
- Is you hair feeling flat at the roots? Put some mousse and blow dry your hair. Tada- Bye bye flat hair and hello volume!
- Do you have dark circles under your eyes but don’t have correcting concealer? DIY- Apply some red lipstick under the eye and then your concealer on top.
- Didn’t get enough sleep last night and want your eyes to look bright and awake for work? Apply a nude or white eyeliner on your bottom waterline.
- Want your eyelashes to look fuller and darker? Tightline your eyes
- Dandruff can be embarrassing (Especially if wearing a dark top). Use some tea tree oil and your scalp will slowly get rid of buildup.
- Want to brighten the area under your eyes? Draw an upside down triangle with your concealer and blend it in (not a half circle)
- Out on a date and starting to look oily? Excuse yourself to the washroom, grab a toilet seat tissue cover and blot your face
- Have you run out of your favourite BB or CC cream? DIY- mix a little bit of your concealer or foundation with your favourite face moisturizer.
- Want to make your lipstick long lasting? Line your lips, apply lipstick, take a tissue paper and dust some translucent powder.
- Want to give the appearance that you have long hair? Divide your hair in to two sections. Create a high ponytail and a low ponytail underneath. Voilà, the power of what I like to call the “Ponytail Illusion”
- Want to make your eyes appear bigger and doll-like? After applying a nude or white eyeliner on the bottom waterline, apply some light brown or taupe shadow under the lower lashes. Extending it only to the middle not to the inner duct.
- Want to buy a contour kit but it’s over your budget? No worries- Use some bronzer or a Taupe shadow that will give an illusion of shadow below cheekbones for a lifted, sculpted appearance.
- Have you run out of your favourite brow pencil? Just use a matte eyeshadow that will match (For brunettes, don’t ever use black eyeshadow. Use brown, looks more “natural” and softer)
- Frizzy hair can be annoying right? I have a solution! Dry your hair with a cotton shirt to reduce frizz.
- Flyaway, go away, please don’t come back another day…? Use a dryer sheet to get rid of the flyaway hair. Rub it a bit on your hair and it will get manage the static. (Don’t ask me how, i’m into beauty more than science!)
- Do you have oily skin and when you use shimmer you find yourself looking like a disco ball?Stay away from blushes with shimmer. Use a matt blush and if you want the “glow”then use some highlighter.
- Do you need a hydrating mist ? Mix some rose water and some water in a spray bottle and spritz your face!
- Creating a cat eye with eyeshadows can be difficult. But you know what they say. Practice makes perfect. Use tape or a business card to give that sharp cat eye look and soften the line by blending with a brush if needed.
- Want your eyeshadow to pop? Apply white eyeliner as a base all over the lid and smudge then apply eyeshadow on top.
- Do you have dry & cracked heals? Apply some coconut oil or vaseline to feet then wear some comfy socks, go to bed and you’ll wake up with feet as soft as a baby’s bottom.
- Don’t have makeup remover? Coconut oil, olive oil or baby oil can save the day
- Is your bristle round brush covered in lots of hair? Take a comb and comb through it and before your eyes you, you shall see a beautiful furball of hair!
- Do you want a beautiful slicked back ponytail like Amrezy but your flyaways are getting in the way? Take an old toothbrush and spray some hairspray on the bristles and comb back those stubborn flyaways. And there you have it- looking fly without the flyaways!
- Do you want to smell lovely all day long? Besides the obvious (taking care of your hygiene and making sure you shower) apply vaseline on your pulse points then spray your favourite perfume, dab some perfume behind the ears, behind your knee and on your comb. You will be smelling lovely from head to toe in no time!
- Are your pores visible and you just want to conceal them? Apply some translucent powder with a sponge and dab it in a counter clockwise motion (working it in to the “problem” areas). If you do it right, those areas will be looking smooth in no time.

Do you want gel eyeliner? DIY- place your kohl eyeliner under the flame for one second, let it cool for 15 seconds. There you have it, gel liner for an instantly smooth formula.
